ACTIVITIES

“The staff are always kind, always smiling however busy they are. They treat us with great respect"  - Resident

Staff ensure that residents are entertained and are able to pursue interests or develop new ones should they wish to. They also provide vital companionship – on hand for cosy chats about anything from current events to distant memories of the past. Music is played in the background over lunch, and there is often the opportunity for a dance for anyone who wants to.

Our dedicated activities coordinator organises group creative and physical activities such as flower arranging, chairobics, quizzes and arts and crafts, and assist residents in individual hobby interests.

We maintain strong links with the community. There are many societies in the village that are only too pleased to involve residents from the home. There are weekly visits from a Church group, Pastoral visits and pupils from the local school come to play board games with the residents.

Several times a month, there are visiting speakers, entertainers and singers and musicians. There are several annual family get togethers such as the Summer Garden Party and Christmas Party.
